Storage Rates

The storage rate is $5.50 per ft² per month, with a seven-month minimum. Monthly storage is pre-paid with a recurring credit card charge. Plants are measured at their two widest points to calculate square footage. Pick-up and delivery are included in the rate. For full details, please review our terms.

Plant Intake and Care

Each plant is examined and noted for overall condition and for specific pests or disease. Your plant will be  monitored daily and will live in a greenhouse designed for light transmission and ventilation. A thermal curtain will be used at night to conserve heat and a hard wired propane generator will supply energy to the heaters in case of a power outage.

Damage, Liability, and Replacement

Damaged and dying plants will be noted when they arrive (sometimes a plant doing poorly will thrive in the greenhouse!). In the event something happens to your plant while in our facilities, we will not charge storage fees. We will also make a reasonable attempt to replace the plant at wholesale cost, if possible. Some plants, however, are not replaceable and some situations do not warrant replacement.

Handling Special Pots

If your plant is in a large, heavy, delicate, rare, or expensive pot, we strongly recommend removing the plant from that pot, if possible, and storing it in a plastic nursery can or creating a removable insert. We can assist in this process. Broken pots are handled on a case-by-case basis. Sometimes they can be replaced or repaired, sometimes they can't.

Pick-Up and Delivery

You do not need to be present for us to pick up or deliver your plant if you give us clear instructions beforehand. If you want to be present, we are happy to schedule with you and call you prior to our arrival. Pick-ups are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Pick-up and delivery are available during the first two weeks of October and May. Please remember to call us to schedule before the season gets busy in the Spring and before the threat of frost in the Fall.
