Oxydendrum arboreum Sourwood
This plant forms a tall, pyramidal tree with long, thin, glossy leaves that turn vivid red, yellow, or purple in autumn. In late summer, small flowers resmbling lily-of-the-valleu bllom, decorating the tree in white. The blossoms are followed by yellowish seed capsules that turn brown and persist into winter.
