Echinacea purpurea 'Ruby Star' Purple Coneflower

In summer, carmine red flowers with bronze cones are borne on 2' stems. 'Ruby Star' attracts butterflies and insects and is a highly ornamental selection. Use in the mid or back border as a tough drought tolerant herbaceous perennial. The seed heads of cone flower is a source of food for goldfinches and other small birds.
