Cercis canadensis 'The Rising Sun' Redbud
Eastern redbud is (usually) a multi- stemmed understory tree with striking pink flowers, followed by rounded, heart-shaped leaves. After flowering, legume seed pods appear and persist through winter. Redbuds are typically found in woodlands and thickets and on limestone soils along streams and creeks.
Peach orange leaves appear all season on the 'The Rising Sun'. Foliage matures to green to contrast with the ever emerging new growth.
