Carex grayi Gray's sedge
The yellow seed heads of this sedge are attractive spikey orbs that do well in both fresh and dried flower arrangements. The fruits remain on the plant in winter, adding winter interest. Gray sedge is best when used in large groups around pools and ponds. It makes an interesting accent plant when grown near water gardens or even in containers.
