Asimina triloba Paw Paw

Paw Paw is an understory tree or large shrub. It was very long, elliptical leaves that retain it's green color well into fall before turning bright yellow. Cup-shaped, purple flowers appear in spring, and give way to an edible, powdery green fruit that has a sweet flavor banana-like flavor.
